A massive 11-piece trade deal has officially gone down in the OHL, sending a top Seattle Kraken prospect to the Brampton Steelheads.

The Kitchener Rangers have had a massive success with one of their forwards, Carson Rehkopf. With a strong goal-scoring ability,he was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NHL Draft by the Seattle Kraken in the 50th overall placement.
"WELCOME TO SEATTLE, CARSON! 🦑

With the 50th pick, the #SeaKraken select Carson Rehkopf!"
However, the team has decided to move on a different route. After a stellar season for the young forward, the Kitchener Rangers traded Rehkopf to the Brampton Steelheads. In exchange, they got a massive 10 draft picks in upcoming OHL drafts. This includes three picks in the third, fourth, and fifth rounds once per draft year until 2027, plus a 2026 seventh-round pick.
"TRADE ALERT! 🚨

We have completed a trade with the Kitchener Rangers, acquiring @SeattleKraken Prospect Carson Rehkopf!"
While this may seem like an excessive deal for the Kitchener Rangers, other fans were quick to point out his dominance in the OHL. Rehkopf is a top prospect for a reason, and in just the last season, he scored a staggering 52 goals. Additionally, the Steelheads are laser-focused on winning, going big for top players in the leaue.
"Everyone saying whoaaaaa the steelheads gave up too much
You have to give up something to get something to get a player like Carson Rehkopf - scored 52 goals last year!!
Still has 2 years of eligibility left!
Also — the steelheads are in win now mode!!
great deal for both sides here!"
While it is clear 10 additional draft picks are helpful, the Brampton Stellheads will undoubtedly find success with Carson Rehkopf. Hopefully, they can pull out their big win before he is no longer available for the league.
