Canadiens have very few untouchables according to Darren Dreger

During an appearance on TSN's That's Hockey, insider Darren Dreger revealed that the Montreal Canadiens have very few untouchables and that they're "open for business".

The only untouchables he mentioned by name were Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, as well as some prospects, but he didn't get into any specific names.

Everyone's definition of a prospect varies, but the website HockeysFuture says, "If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL."

With that being said, some younger players that are no longer prospects on the Canadiens roster include Alexander Romanov and Jake Evans, but it's hard to see general manager Kent Hughes moving either of them.

Players such as Ben Chiarot, Artturi Lehkonen, Jeff Petry, Brett Kulak all have a good chance to be dealt by March 21st's trade deadline.

It'll be interesting to see if Kent Hughes will do what Arizona Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong has offered, taking on bad contracts from other teams in order to gain other assets. Montreal's cap situation may hold Hughes back from doing that though.

"There's no doubt that the Canadiens are going to look a lot different after Mar. 21," Darren Dreger added.

Dreger asked on That's Hockey! if there are any untouchables on the Habs roster, named Suzuki & Caufield and some of their prospects, other than that they're "open for business".
