This analyst laid into Max Domi for how he has started the year this year, and he didn't hold back.

Scott Wheeler Lays Into Domi For Slow Start to the Year

There is no question that Max Domi has had a slower start to the season than many had hoped. The hype surrounding the Domi name had fans hopeful that Max would make an immediate impact on the roster, an impact similar to what his dad had during his playing days.
This hasn't been the case, however, and NHL analyst Scott Wheeler took to X.com to rip into him.
»Max Domi's start as a Toronto Maple Leaf could not be going worse. It's like he has forgotten how to play hockey. No idea what to do with the puck and everything he does do with it is the wrong thing,»
Domi is clearly getting used to the new system of the Toronto Maple Leafs, one that champions puck possession over dumping and chasing. With only 4 games under his belt, he does deserve a little time before he is written off entirely.

Domi Still Needs to Find His Game in the NHL Consistently

Domi has also struggled to maintain a home in the NHL, playing for 7 different teams now since he was drafted in 2013. In the last 4 years, he has played for 4 different teams.
If there is a team might be able to find himself in, it could be Toronto. His hometown team and an arena he grew up in, if he can get over some of the pressure that is engrained in Toronto Hockey, he may find himself a role squarely in the middle of Toronto's roster, as he has shown flashes of greatness over the course of his career.
Sheldon Keefe says he was really impressed with William Nylander's first game at centre and his chemistry with Max Domi.

Keefe says he was particularly impressed with Domi's play making ability.
As seen on The Hockey Beast - "NHL insider absolutely destroys Max Domi for shaky start in Toronto: »It's like he's forgotten how to play hockey»"
