The Pittsburgh Penguins seem to be open to moving plenty of players this season, and now Noel Acciari has become a target for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Earlier this week, the Pittsburgh Penguins were embarrassed in historic fashion to the Dallas Stars, with the team immediately trading Lars Eller to a division rival as a result of the game.

That has seemingly opened the flood gates, as word going around the league is that GM Kyle Dubas is open to business on just about everyone outside of Sidney Crosby, who appears set to remain in Pittsburgh for the remainder of his career.

That's already led to speculation around the likes of Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor, but after the solid return for Eller in the Capitals deal, another veteran has now been spoken about.

That would be veteran Noel Acciari, who was linked to the Tampa Bay Lightning by The Hockey News given his versatility on both ends of the ice and his experience.

Acciari, 32, would be a solid addition to the Lightning's bottom six. He could fit in nicely as their fourth-line center but could also play at right wing because of his versatility. In addition, he would be a clear choice for their penalty kill because of his solid defensive play.

With the Lightning in position to chase the Stanley Cup once more, they need to be wise about moves they make this season, and given that it cost Washington a 5th and a 3rd to land Eller, that would be a similar return for Acciari.

At this point in the season, it's likely too early for teams to genuinely begin considering big time moves, but Accirari would be a small, smarter move for Tampa Bay, so don't sleep on this one.
