The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman are deadlocked in their contract negotiations, and now the frustration is boiling over to the fanbase.

For months now, fans have expected the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman to find a common ground and get a new deal done for the star goaltender, but with the regular season opener just days away, it hasn't quite happened yet. This whole situation has played out in the public eye as well, with President Cam Neely taking their offer to the media in a bold play to pressure Swayman into signing a deal, and it may ultimately be working.
While we've not seen much movement from Jeremy Swayman's side since these comments, it appears to now have the Bruins fans on the side of the team rather than the player, as seen in their latest pre-season tilt in Quebec City. During the game, signs could be seen behind the Bruins net that read 'take 64 or go' and it's safe to say that if this stretches into the regular season, it could be a very bad look for the 25-year old standout.
While the two parties haven't come close to a deal, it's clear that both sides need each other, so the likelihood of a deal getting done is still high, but with frustrations reaching a boiling point, it's unclear how close we are to a deal. If the team can't get the Swayman deal done, they'll rely on Joonas Korpisalo in a year the Bruins are chasing a Stanley Cup, and that's simply not a recipe for success, so with both sides now feeling the pressure, we will see if a deal can finally get done.
