Tampa Bay and Dallas complete a minor trade

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Tuesday afternoon that they've acquired forward Tye Felhaber from the Dallas Stars in exchanged for forward Alexey Lipanov.

Felhaber, 23, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Stars in March 2019 after a career high in goals (59) and points (109) in the Ontario Hockey League. In 14 games this season for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, the Pembroke, Ontario native had two goals, two penalty minutes and was a minus-four.

Lightning General Manager Julien BriseBois announced that Felhaber has been assigned to the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coast Hockey League.

Lipanov, 22, was a third round pick of the Lightning in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He's spent the majority of the 2021-22 season with Orlando (ECHL). In eight games, the Moscow, Russia native had one assist, two penalty minutes and was a plus-one.
