The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers certainly got physical in their season opener, and now forward Trent Frederic has called out Matthew Tkachuk for his actions.

Last season ended for the Boston Bruins at the hands of the Florida Panthers, who would ultimately go on to win the Stanley Cup, following a season in which Florida upset Boston again in the Playoffs, and this appears to be a rivalry that is just beginning. On Tuesday, the Panthers raised that banner before a showdown against the Bruins, and the physicality got started early, with Mark Kaselic and AJ Greer dropping the gloves early in the first period.

The physicality didn't stop throughout the game either, as Trent Frederic went after Matthew Tkachuk during the physical affair, but after turning down Frederic's fight, the Bruins forward had some harsh words for Tkachuk.

Reportedly, Tkachuk asked Frederic to fight, but when push came to shove he didn't drop the gloves, instead he looked to draw Frederic into a penalty, with the 26-year old ending his post-game statement with this line.

I didn't know guys did that, it's a little disrespectful to the game.

Shortly after this, the Panthers went on a big time run, ultimately getting up by multiple goals, and when they did, their fans took full advantage, mocking the Bruins by their choice of goaltender because of the Jeremy Swayman situation. This night may have been won by the Panthers as they celebrated their Stanley Cup, but don't expect Boston fans to forget this the next time they meet at the TD Garden.

With two of the most talented rosters in hockey, this is a rivalry that's only just beginning, and with so much history behind them, it's safe to say that every time they meet this season, it will be must see for the fans.
