TheVancouver Canucks saw career years from many players last season, but their GM has called out one of those players in a big way.

Last season was a historic one for the Vancouver Canucks, and while it ended in less than ideal fashion, they've proven that they have a team capable of making plenty of noise in the Western Conference. One player that could be primed for another career year is Brock Boeser, who had a career high 40 goals in 81 games played in 2023/24, but for some reason, it wasn't enough for his General Manager.

In a recent interview, GM Patrik Allvin has called out Boeser in shocking fashion, stating that he believes Boeser took his foot off the gas after reaching the 30 goal milestone, almost seeming disappointed that the 27-year old only got to 40.

"I told him that he could've scored 50 goals, but I felt he took his foot off the gas when he scored 30 and we want to see him pushing through."

He followed that up by saying the front office and the coaching staff want him to find consistency before extension talks officially begin, and after tallying over 20 goals just twice since 2019, that puts major pressure on his shoulders. As of right now, Boeser is slated to play alongside J.T. Miller and Nils Hoglander on the Canucks top line, giving him all the talent he needs to top 40 goals again, and if he does, he'll be in line for a big money deal in Vancouver.
