The Vegas Golden Knights let Jonathan Marchessault walk in free agency this year, and now he hasn't held back in his criticism of the organization.

This summer has been a very interesting one for the Vegas Golden Knights, as they moved on from several top names, while not quite getting the same level of talent back for the team. One player they lost is former Conn Smythe winner Jonathan Marchessault, who shockingly left Vegas to join Steven Stamkos with the Nashville Predators.

Now, the veteran forward has opened up on the decision, and it's safe to say that he wasn't too happy with how the team handled his free agency.

I need to know, are you guys actually letting me go for real?

Given the way that Vegas have handled free agency and trades in recent years, it's no surprise that this is the way they wanted to do things, but after handing out some big deals in recent times, they were definitely facing more than one tough decision this off-season. In seven seasons with the Golden Knights, Marchessault was every bit the star this team could have hoped for, playing in 514 games over that time and tallying 192 goals and 417 points, being the driving force behind their maiden Stanley Cup win, becoming synonymous with the success this team has had.

Now however, the team move forward with a very unproven lineup, but given the production they've managed to get from everyone on their team since the inception of this franchise, expect them to once again be competitive in the Pacific Division in 2024/25.
