A former second-round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs had asked for a trade away at the start of the 2024 NHL offseason and recently reaffirmed his belief that he would be better suited on a different team.
Nicholas Robertson, who had 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points in 56 games played for the Leafs, personally believes that a change of address would be in his best interest. From TSN insider at The Athletic writer Pierre LeBrun:
"The latest there is that I'm told he would still prefer a change of address," revealed LeBrun. "It's been slow going on that file but he's got a pretty powerful agent in Pat Brisson."
Brisson, who has helped his clients such as Seth Jones, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Noah Hanifin receive trades away from their previous organizations, seems to have a good amount of pull within the league which should help Robertson receive his request.
