Jarvis, who broke out this past season with 33 goals and 34 assists for 67 points in 81 games, will receive a deferred payment bonus of a certain amount at the end of this contract that will end up saving the Hurricanes around $400,000 in cap space per each year of the deal.
While still a little ways away, it is worth noting that come July 1st, 2025, Connor Bedard is eligible to negotiate his second contract with the Blackhawks. The center, who produced 22 goals and 39 assists for 61 points in 68 games, is going to earn a big contract and the Blackhawks could attempt to save a little cap space while still giving Bedard the contract he deserves.
