Jeremy Swayman's odds of not signing with the Boston Bruins before training camp rapidly increasing

The Boston Bruins traded Linus Ullmark earlier this off-season, indicating they were confident that RFA Jeremy Swayman would ultimately remain with the team on a long-term deal. However, September is quickly approaching and they are yet to come to terms on an extension, and it has plenty of Bruins fans worried about the future of the team.

These latest updates won't go a long way to improving their confidence either, as a report has revealed that they are still a long way apart on talks, although they do remain ongoing.

Despite this, President Cam Neely is among those within the organization that are confident a deal will get done.

On top of that, Bruins reporter Jimmy Murphy has given his prediction on the situation, revealing that he believes Swayman will potentially hold out of training camp, but will ultimately get a deal done before the season begins. After winning the job from Ullmark last year, Swayman has become the unquestioned No. 1 in Boston, with the 25-year old being crucial to their Stanley Cup hopes in 2024/25, but if they can't come together on a deal soon, it could effect the start of the regular season.
