After serving as special advisor to hockey operations for the Montreal Canadiens, Vincent Lecavalier is now on the verge of joining Martin St-Louis in a coaching position.

Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St-Louis have been friends for years, dating all the way back to their time playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning together from 2000 to 2013. Little did they know that nearly a decade later, they would both work together for the Montreal Canadiens following their retirement from playing in the league.
"Martin St. Louis has been named the 32nd Head Coach of the @CanadiensMTL! 👏 "
"The Montreal Canadiens have named Nick Bobrov as co-director of amateur scouting and Vincent Lecavalier as a special advisor to hockey operations.

Bobrov was previously the Director of European Scouting for the New York Rangers."
Just over two years after his appointment, Lecavalier seems to be climbing the ladder in the Canadiens' leadership team. According to insiders with the Montreal Gazette, he could take over Alex Burrows' role as the assistant coach.
"There are some whispers behind the scenes that he could even step behind the bench alongside his longtime friend, Martin St-Louis, to replace Alex Burrows as an assistant."
Though this is no confirmation that Vincent Lecavlier will replace Alex Burrows, his relationship with Martin St-Louis will only help his case in being allowed a higher spot on the totem pole. Hopefully, whatever the Montreal Canaddeins decide to do will help propel their rebuild forward.
