With so much that goes into the production of an NHL game, there's bound to be things going wrong every now and then, and on Saturday night, we saw something that's perhaps never been seen before.
During the matchup between the Seattle Kraken and New York Rangers, the lights on the Rangers side of the ice was a lot darker than the other, something that could perhaps give either team a major advantage.
In order to circumvent this issue, the referees made a decision, that instead of changing after every period, the teams would swap sides every 10 minutes.
Either way, it ended up being a thrilling matchup with plenty of feeling and some amazing hockey, but this is definitely a situation the NHL will hope to avoid in the future.
