With the Vancouver Canucks looking to collect picks and prospects for the future, goaltender Jaroslav Halak would have been a perfect trade piece at the deadline. However, Halak himself has reportedly enforced his no-movement clause and said no getting shipped away from the Canucks.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Halak simply doesn't want to be traded out of Vancouver right now, and he has the ability to block a move with his NMC.

With Thatcher Demko getting the majority of the starts, Halak has played in just 10 games this season. He has a record of 2-5-2, with a 2.90 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. The 36-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
