One of the players involved in the ongoing investigation into the 2018 World Junior Championship scandal involving team Canada was blocked from fleeing Canada by border patrol.

Former Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart was refused entry into the US due to the criminal charge given to him. In the affidavit, it states:

His affidavit says he has hired an immigration lawyer. "I have previously denied entry to the United States due to my criminal charge"

The former NHL goalie is trying to move from his home in the province of Alberta to Tennessee to work out full-time with a former professional hockey player.

Hart, the former second round pick by the Flyers back in 2016, last played in the National Hockey League last season but was given a leave of absence by the Flyers after the allegations came to light about what he and 4 other players did during the 2018 World Juniors.

In that season, Hart was 12-9-3 with a .906% save percentage and a 2.80 goals against average.

This statement came about as part of statements provided by all 5 of the former NHL players to the court about their almost non-existent hopes of playing hockey again as part of applications to skip non-essential hearings so that they can work or train elsewhere.
