It was announced today that the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks have made a trade involving Sam Lafferty, Ilya Mikheyev, and a second round pick.

The Vancouver Canucks are focused on clearing cap room in order to sign major free agents and keep their current players. With this in mind, they have traded forward Ilya Mikheyev and his $4.75M salary to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Hearing Chicago and Vancouver working on a deal that will create cap room for the Canucks — potentially involving Ilya Mikheyev and rights to Sam Lafferty, with a second-round pick as a sweetener
The Blackhawks will equally get a fourth round pick.
Ilya Mikheyev hasn't formally agreed to waive his no-trade clause yet to go to #Blackhawks , but provided he does, teams have agreement in place on a trade:

To #Blackhawks : Ilya Mikheyev, 2nd Rd Pick, pending UFA Sam Lafferty

To #Canucks : 4th Rd Pick

The Chicago Blackhawks have a very bare roster, and Ilya Mikheyev may have the opportunity to play alongside sophomore phenom Connor Bedard. The former 20-goal scorer has not been at his best in Vancouver, and could bounce back in Chicago.
This looks like the precursor to a big move.
Canucks likely have something cooking if they're paying this much to move Mikheyev
