The Boston Bruins have traded 2023 Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators per several NHL insiders.
The star goaltender has been usurped in Boston by young star Jeremy Swayman, who is due for a massive extension this season. Due to the tight salary cap, the Boston Bruins had no choice but to move Linus Ullmark, and reports indicate he has been traded to the Ottawa Senators.
The Ottawa Senators signed goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to a five year deal last off-season, but it has not been a fit, thus they are bringing in the veteran star Linus Ullmark. He is expected to sign a five-year extension worth in the range of $35 million with the team.
