As the Stanley Cup Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers stretch into Game 7, NHL legend Jaromir Jagr shared his pick for the Conn Smythe trophy winner regardless of Cup win.

The 2023-24 Stanley Cup Finals have turned into one of the most exciting series of hockey in the last few years. After a brutal three-game loss to the Florida Panthers, Edmonton pulled in a staggering 8-1 in Game 4 and has not lost since. This makes the Oilers the third NHL team in history to pull this off.
"🏒 The Oilers become the 3rd team in NHL history to win three games when facing elimination in the Stanley Cup Final

The 1942 Leafs are the only team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 deficit and win the Stanley Cup 🤯"
Yet, before the series is even over, NHL legend Jaromir Jagr has already made his mind up about the Conn Smythe trophy. Though Florida still has a shot at winning their first Stanley Cup, the former Panther suggested that regardless of the outcome, it should go to Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid.
"Why not? I love Panthers, Bark, Bob, Tkachuk, but Connor McDavid is just a different hockey player."

There is little doubt that Sergei Bobrovsky was only a little short of unstoppable, but Connor McDavid has almost single-handedly brought Edmonton back into the game. In his run for this year's cup with the Oilers, McDavid has claimed some of the most impressive records in NHL history.
Despite Florida's shot to win still being open, it is hard to deny Connor McDavid's importance in Edmonton this postseason. The Oilers and Panthers will play Game 7 on Monday night, and with any luck, he will not have to worry about getting the Conn Smythe trophy.
