Martin Necas appears to be on the move in the very near future, and now we know the three teams chasing the young Carolina Hurricanes forward.

The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to finally go deep in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and to do that, it appears they may need to make another move or two this summer. With Martin Necas set to hit restricted free agency, the team don't feel as though they are in a position to pay him, and now, they are open to trading the talented 23-year old.
Many believe that trade will come before the NHL Draft, and now David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has revealed the teams still chasing Necas the hardest heading into the off-season.
As the Hurricanes carry out trade talks with teams about Martin Necas, the word is Carolina is looking to complete a 'hockey trade' not a deal strictly for future assets. Teams like Nashville, Seattle, Montreal among those still believed to be in the mix.
That isn't to say that another team may not come out of nowhere and either offer a huge deal or offersheet the young Hurricanes star, but for now, it looks like a blockbuster deal could happen at any time. Necas had a career high 71 points in the 2022-23 season, and while his production fell during this past season, he still has all of the tools to be a star in the NHL, and Carolina are looking to capitalize on that potential and land a haul in return for the former first-round draft pick.
