The legendary Jarome Iginla is one of the greatest Calgary Flames of all time, and a hockey hall of famer. His son Tij Iginla is set to be drafted this week.

Tij Iginla shares many traits with his father. While he is not the biggest player in the world, at 6'0» and 183 pounds, he plays a powerful style, cutting into the net off the boards, and creating space to make plays. He has a phenomenal shot, just like his dad.
The 2024 NHL entry draft is wide open in talent. Beyond Macklin Celebrini going first overall, there is no consensus on how the rest of the draft will go. The highest Tij Iginla is expected to possibly go is fifth overall to the Montreal Canadiens, but it is entirely possible he falls to his father's team - the Calgary Flames at 9th overall.
With the Edmonton Oilers on the verge of bringing a Stanley Cup back to Alberta, the Calgary Flames would certainly love to be able to bring in a new franchise star, with the same last name as an old one in Tij Iginla.
While his father's shoes will be tough to fill, Tij Iginla is a very special prospect, and is worthy of a top-10 pick at the 2024 NHL entry draft.
Here are some highlights of Tij Iginla from this past season:
