An official statement confirmed that the longtime goaltender Brian Elliott is set to return to the NHL, a year after retiring from professional hockey.

On Monday afternoon, the St. Louis Blues announced that they hired Brian Elliott as their goaltending scout and development coach.

Former St. Louis Blues goaltender Brian Elliott comes back in the NHL

Brian Elliott is set to return to St. Louis, where he played between 2011 and 2016. In his new role with the team, he should be a part of the discussions for the upcoming draft, set to go down in Las Vegas. With his vast NHL experience, his insights will be valuable for the organization.
Elliott, 39, retired from the NHL after the 2022-23 season. He was drafted 291th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2003 and took part in 542 games in his career.
In addition of the Senators and the Blues, he played for the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Philadelphia Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
