Fleury shares his future plans; touches on the trade deadline

When you think of Marc-Andre Fleury, the first thing that comes to most people's minds is that he's a three-time Stanley Cup champion and future Hall-of-Famer. Now Fleury wants a fourth Stanley Cup, and he's willing to be traded from Chicago to a place where he has a chance to lift it one more time.

Some of those options for Fleury could include Colorado, Edmonton, possibly even St. Louis or Nashville. It's likely that Fleury stays in the Western Conference if he does get dealt from the Blackhawks. One Eastern Conference contender, Washington, has expressed a high level of interest in him, but given that the Capitals were a long-time rival of Fleury and the Pittsburgh Penguins, he doesn't want to play there according to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.

The 37-year-old also opened up to the media on Wednesday about his playing career beyond the 2021-22 season, saying that he wants to play at least one more year.

Fleury, a native of Sorel (Quebec) is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and could become a hot commodity on the open market.

In 36 games this season, Fleury has a record of 16-17-3 with a 2.88 goals against average, a .910 save percentage and three shutouts.
